Integrated Solutions Accepted in 8(A) Program
The 8(A) Business Development program was created to help small disadvantaged businesses like Integrated Solutions compete in the American Economy as well as access the Federal Procurememt Market. Integrated Solutions is proud to announce their acceptance into the 8(A) Program.
Integrated Solutions joins two other Tribally-owned companies, A&S Diversified and Fort Peck Tech, who are also in the 8(A) Program. To be eligible for 8(a) Program participation, a small business concern must be at least 51 percent owned, controlled, managed, and operated on a daily basis by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged persons.
Participants typically remain in the 8(a) Program for a period of nine years, during which they are encouraged to grow their competitive and institutional know-how through a monitored combination of 8(a) and non-8(a) contracts.
We are in our first year of the program and are progressively pursing several avenues. Integrated Solutions is looking to help Fort Peck Tech, Inc. with some subcontracting in the near future.
Integrated Solutions is also pursing GSA Schedules 70 and 75 so we can do business with the local government agencies here such as Indian Health Services and Bureau of Indian Affairs. "I know government entities such as the United States Post Office are required to order off of GSA Schedules for their supplies" stated Deanna Buckles.
Integrated Solutions is working closely with Shannon Whiteman and Lou Thompson who works for the MT National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development out of Polson, MT. |
